Job Summary
The Field Marketing Associate supports the company’s go-to-market and demand-planning functions by conducting structured, recurring field research across beauty supply stores, wig shops, and salons — surfacing sell-through trends, competitive activity, and unmet customer needs. This role works closely with Sales, SCM, and Marketing to ensure field intelligence is captured accurately and translated into insights the business can act on.
Job Description
Field Research Execution & Territory Management
- Plan and execute a structured monthly visit schedule across an assigned territory of BSS retailers, wig shops, and salons, balancing coverage across A-tier and B-tier accounts
- Conduct in-store assessments of shelf presence, product availability, and competitor placement
- Coordinate visit logistics and prioritization across multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining consistent visit cadence and reporting quality
Sell-Through & Reorder-Gap Validation
- Ground-truth SCM’s reorder-velocity flags by directly observing shelf inventory and sell-through at physical accounts, closing the gap left by not having direct POS access
- Track and report emerging stockout or overstock conditions at the account level before they surface in company-wide reorder data
- Flag discrepancies between what SCM’s system-generated signals suggest and what’s actually observed on the shelf
Trend & Customer Insight Development
- Identify emerging demand in texture, color, length, and styling categories through direct conversation with store owners, stylists, and beauticians
- Synthesize recurring customer feedback and unmet needs into structured input for Marketing and R&D’s product pipeline
- Monitor competitive product launches, pricing, and promotional activity observed in the field
Cross-Functional Reporting & Collaboration
- Produce structured weekly reports for Sales, SCM, and Marketing leadership, using a consistent template that supports trend-tracking over time
- Support the monthly S&OP cycle by supplying field-validated demand signal as part of Sales’ Stage 1 data input
- Partner with Sales Directors and Inside Customer Service to cross-check account-level signals against field observations
Quality & Process Discipline
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in visit documentation and reporting, following standardized field-audit templates
- Flag data quality concerns and support continuous improvement of field reporting processes
- Meet minimum visit cadence and reporting deadlines consistently
Qualifications
- Experience: 0–3 years in field marketing, merchandising, retail sales, or consumer insights; beauty supply or hair care retail channel experience strongly preferred
- Skill(s): Strong observational and analytical skills, with the ability to translate field observations into clear, actionable written reports
- Tools: Comfort using mobile reporting tools, CRM/ERP systems, or field-data collection apps to log visits and findings
- Language(s): Fluency in both English and Korean required (written and spoken)
- Certification(s): Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation required
Benefits

- Paid Time Off (PTO) & Sick Days
- 401(k) with Company Match
